Bleeding hemorrhoidanal fissure?

Whitney

Over the past weekend and early in the week, I suffered from food poisoning. As a result, I now have what seems to be pretty bad hemorrhoids/anal fissures. I haven't looked but it seems that the entire rim of my anus is swollen. Pain is not as much of an issue, as that I can deal with, but it is the bleeding. For the past 2-3 days, it has been bleeding consistently. Not a lot on a regular basis, just more as if it is completely raw, like a bad scrape. I've tried sitz baths, neosporin, ice packs, and resting on my stomach as treatment. The pain has dramatically declined, so I have a feeling it is working somewhat, but the bleeding has not. I have yet to try Tucks pads as I have seen recommended, are they really the best way to help stop the bleeding and are there other home remedies to stop it?

Long Point

annusol hemmorhoidal suppositories will turn the trick for you

Charlotte Hall

Get Rue Care Oil available on line - it stops bleeding and is great for treatment of hemorrhoids and fissure.

The itching and burning caused by haemorrhoids can make it difficult to sit still. How can you ease the discomfort and fight flare-ups? According to research or other evidence, the following self-care steps may be helpful:.www.solgar.co.uk/healthnotes/heal…Keith Woolley

Gosh, I'm really sorry, that can't be fun. the first thing I think you should do is see a doctor becasue maybe the bleeding is from the inside of your rectum. Good luck.

Ware Shoals

agree with rn - get the anusul that you stick up your bum.they contain a steroid which will shrink the tissue back.you can massage them with a moist wipe and try to push them back in also.witch hazel is also good for shrinking them but it stings a little.its unusual to have roids after food poisoning unless you were straining a lot to poo, as they usually come after constipation, so if they persist then see a doc

Blood in stool? whats the treatment?

Altona

Iv been getting blood in my stool for the past month along with feeling sick, tired/no energy. I got a blood test and everything was fine. I few people suspect it could be haemorrhoid's and/or fissures. I was just wondering what the treatment could be?? Is it just antibiotics?? PLEASE NEED HELP URGENT!

Olney Springs

You don't need antibiotics unless you have an infection. What you need to do is change your diet.

Tollette

From you question I can see you have not been examined to insure that it is either of those two conditions. It would be wise to make sure the bleeding is not coming from a polyp or something more serious. I would be negligent in saying otherwise. If it is bright red it is coming from near the anal opening and most likely a hemorrhoid but since it has persisted an examination is needed. I have to admit I am very reluctant to have anyone poke around down there and it is embarrassing but where your health is concerned you cannot guess with things like this. I don't think you have anything serious but you have to be certain. Good Luck

Hallam

Treatment for haemorrhoid is fast and painless, but it must be done by a proctologist.Don't be scared/embarrassed - he sees dozen like you per day. Just go, you will feel much better with yourself 5 minutes after you're done.

Bleeding hemorrhoids during pregnancy?

Burnside

Im 31 weeks pregnant and i have constipation so i go to the washroom every 3 days or so and when i do i see blood when i wipe. i think i have internal hemroids but i had constipation for like 3 to 4 weeks now so im woried i had this internal hemriod problem for a long time so who knows how long ive been bleeding inside basicly im wondering if its too late to get regular treatment or do i now need surgury???

Shade Gap

I have had some bleeding caused by internal hemroids...It sucks to be constipated! I would talk to your doctor. He can provide a solution for the constipation which will help you out ALOT! Until then, try to increase your fiber intake and water intake.. That should help too.

Raoul

I would talk to your doctor about going on a stool softener-- thats way too long to not have a bowel movement. A lot of times the extra iron in prenatal vitamins will cause you to be constipated. Also have your doctor decide what is best for your hemroids. If you can become more regular, the doc may not do anything. Most women wind up leaving the hospital after labor & delivery with hemroids anyway.

Indian Hills

You should wait until you give birth, this usually occurs due to pregnancy. Just let your doctor know and they can recommend laxatives, and or topical cream if it hurts other than that you just have to wait.

My friend's mother is 50 years old and she has an extremely itchy outside rectum. What's the best treatment or cure for that? She tried PREPARATION H, Anusol, Suppsitory Tablets and after a few hours, the itchiness came back. And there are no hemorrhoid problems. Thank You

Brandon

Pruritus ani - anal itching - is a common problem, is caused by many factors. As long as there aren't other conditions present (hemorrhoids, anal fistula, other rectal diseases), the treatment is getting rid of the irritation by modification of diet if needed, and trying different creams to control the burning and inflammation.Sometimes a prescription cream is needed if the over-the-counter remedies aren't working.

Bleeding hemorrhoid most common treatment?

Zachary

My husband has a hemmorhoid (External,i believe) and it has gotten a small slit in the middle that is bleeding. I am taking him to the doctor tomorrow, but was wondering can anyone give me a good idea of what to expect there.Especially what kind of treatment we might be looking at. Also would surgery even have to be on the table right now, we really don't want to do anything that extreme yet. Any Answers are appreciated.

Prevent further damage on his external anal sphincter by:*avoiding constipation (eat fiber rich foods such as oat meal, drink extra fluid such as water and prune juice)*avoid foods that may cause constipation*avoid straining during defecation and avoiding too much friction during washing of the area*sit on a doughnut-shaped cushion to avoid direct pressure on the anusProvide temporary relieve by:*sitting on a warm water (steam)*or apply ice*too much pain- can take mild analgesics but non opioids because it causes constipationif it is too painful and damaged, the doctor may suggest an operation, hemorrhoidectomy. it is a short procedure done in an OPD or in a minor surgery suit. the patient may go home afterwards. god bless.

Cranford

Hey,It’s most likely that your doctor will suggest a topical cream or lotion which will be applied to the hemorrhoid initially. These creams are generally not overly expensive and can be purchased through most drug stores/pharmacy’s. Unless the hemorrhoid is very advanced and causes severe pain, no one should be considering surgery just yet. Be wary if you do decide to use a cream as they generally only mask the hemorrhoid (cure the symptoms) and the hemorrhoid often returns at a later date (maybe 1 month later or 6 months later).Natural hemorrhoid cures and remedies can usually cure these types of hemorrhoids quite quickly and easily. Two that I recommend you check out are H Miracle and Venapro – they have worked well for thousands of people in the past. Visit the links below to find out more information.Good luck!Heather-Jane

Bright red bleeding is often one of the first hemorrhoid symptoms.Bleeding can be from a variety of different health issues, ranging from mild ones like hemorrhoids to serious conditions such as colon cancer. If you don't already know why you're suffering from rectal bleeding, make a doctor's appointment to find out.Additionally treatment for bleeding hemorrhoids is usually easy, though it may take a while to fully heal. Here is given some of them:1. The first step is to correct and prevent constipation. For this, include lots of high-fiber food in your diet such as bran, beans, fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains, and drink enough water (at least 8 glasses per day).2. Don't sit or strain on the toilet for long.3. Sitz baths either in the bathtub or in a special sitz bath that fits over the toilet can help too.4. use soft moistened toilet paper to clean the area as well as possible. You can use either warm water on plain, unscented toilet paper or use a medicated tissue. Witch hazel or aloe vera moistened tissues are particularly soothing. For an external hemorrhoid, if it has formed a blood clot, the MD can make a simple incision for immediate relief. The MD might also suggest OTC ointments or creams with hydrocortisone to shrink the hemorrhoid & stop itching & pain.Put ice or cold compresses on it.Take warm sitz baths.Don't use dry toilet paper, use something like Tucks witch hazel pads instead.Keep anal area clean with warm water (no soap). To prevent hemorrhoids: Add fiber to your diet; drink plenty of water; don't strain; exercise; go when you feel urge.Google: mayo clinic>>diseases>>hemorrhoidsGood luck

Personally. I would have it removed. Especially if it's causing any discomfort. If it's not too bad and it's external, I believe the doctor can remove it right in the office.
