i think i've got a hemorrhoid? i'm 13 is this weird? is treatment a cream? hi there...i'm 22, and when i was 21 i think i got an external hemorrhoid.not to sound nasty, but i was constipated for a while and then got bouts of diarrhea.the hemorrhoid, for the most part, stays inside but you can feel it like a lump right around my rectum.when i strain all the tissues around my rectum become inflamed and sort of come out a bit while i am going to the bathroom.this is for the med community out there --- do you think this may be serious because i am younger? do i have to go to a doctor (i've read online there is no cure, and to just treat symptoms)...and if so, what sort of doctor should i go to? are there any pretty good treatments besides preparation h? also, the hemorrhoid does not bother me at all...not itching, burning, etc.it is not even discolored, it just looks pink like the rest of the tissue.i am 22, 5'5" and weigh 140 and eat healthy regularly.

Hi, I took my dog (black lab) to the vet with a very itchy bottom, she was constantly licking it and dragging it along the floor.I noticed a small pea sized swelling which was exactly like hemorrhoids.I made an appointment with the vet but on the day I took her the swelling had gone down.He told me her problem was her anal glands( which when he emptied were not even full) and when I said I thought she had hemorrhoids he poo pooed me and insisted dogs dont get hemorrhoids.(He also did a rectal exam with his finger and said she was fine).I took her home, the poor things itching had not improved and a few days later the pea sized hemorrhoid had returned.After looking this up I now know dogs DO get hemorrhoids and I am very annoyed with my vet.I am interested to know has anyone else had a similar experience with their vet and can I use a human treatment such as preparation H on her?
