Hi does any body know how long do hemorrhoids stay?

Keystone Heights

if you find out soon and do a treatment would they go forever? I got them after a give birth.,.,.,.,

Bowleys Quarters

i just got one too.. i've had it for 5 days. if you find an answer please msg me! i've heard preparation h takes good care of them, and soaking in a tub 3 times a day for 15-25 minutes.. it seems to be working okay i guess but... i guess hemorrhoids can leave a 'skin tag' or little flap of skin where they were.. im trying to fix it so i dont have one of those.. ack.

Kinross

You basically have them forever. They just flare up now and then depending on your bowel movements and such.

Mexico

i heard that if you push the hemorrhoids back up in side. that will heal them faster. and if they fall out keep pushing back in side.

Hemorrhoids sucks anybody tried 3 elements herbal remedy?

De Soto

My hemorrhoids are killing me. I have tried ointments and creams but with no serious results. I am looking for something natural and home treatment but not expensive. I found this site .www.byebyehemorrhoids.combut does anybody have any experience? Please give me a hand here...Thanks

Antelope

The best natural treatment I have heard of is witch hazel compress or cream. his drug store staple is made from the leaves and bark of a plant called Hamamelis virginiana. It is not be taken internally but is instead applied topically to the anal area in the form of witch hazel distilled liquid, ointment, or medicated pads.Witch hazel is thought to decrease the bleeding of hemorrhoids by acting as an astringent. It may also relieve pain, itching and swelling associated with hemorrhoids..altmedicine.about.com/od/healthco…

Hemorrhoids wont go away even with ointments and creams ive had them for months?

Clyde

So, I have had hemorrhoids for a few months now, off and on, mostly external. It started about 3 months ago, and they went away on their own. Then a few weeks after, they came back and did not subside. I purchased some prep-h cream, which helped considerably and they went away for awhile. When they came back, I used the prep-h cream, but it did little to help this time. I really only used it in the mornings and at night, other than the "up to 4 times daily" on the box, since during the day isn't really practical for me. I purchased the ointment, I figured that it would work better because of the consistency, but they came back after its use like the cream. I tried to use the attachment and place the ointment further inside, but no luck. They are back now with some bleeding off and on. What should I do? I know that a doctors visit would be logical, but I don't want any type of surgery done.Does anyone reccommend a treatment that worked for them?Any help would be greatly appreciated! : )

I reckon some folks just never learn. You do NOT have enough fiber in your system & you do NOT drink enough water to keep the traffic flowing. When you do NOT have enough fiber or drink enough water - then constipation begins to set in - then when you have a BM, you push or force to make it exit & hemorrhoids will pop out on you & sometimes bleed. You need to get off junk food, fast food garbage & sugary sweet soda's. Start eating a balanced, healthy diet, including plenty of boiled or steamed vegetables - including GREEN LEAFY vegetables. Drink LOTS of water, fruit juices & fat free milk to help keep the traffic flowing. Snack on plenty of RAW fruit & veggies. Get up one hour early every morning & take a BRISK 30 minute walk - then - do the same thing again in the evening after dinner. Continue to use Preparation H or even Vaseline to soothe any discomfort. When you have a BM, do NOT push, force or strain to make it exit. Let it exit slowly, on it's own, naturally. Allow a little extra time, if necessary. Don't get in a hurry.

Mechanic Falls

Sometimes they get so bad that having them surgically removed is the best option. Don't be afraid of having it done.....think of the relief you will have.

Hemorrhoids treatment help?

Dix

yea so like many other men in the world, I'm one of the people who has hemorrhoids..I don't suffer from it since they don't hurt one bit or bleed..but it is a nuisance, and I can get colon cancer from them if I don't do anything, right? What's a good cure for hemorrhoids? This anusol cream my doctor prescribed me is only for painful hemorrhoids, that doesn't really help them dissapear now does it? Surgery is an option since I live in Canada, and health care is free, but it's really a last alternative..and from what I've heard, it's not very pleasant after you go home for about 2 weeks or more...because if you damage that area by constipation..well you're ******...I've heard about going the fiber diet path, is that going to make them dissapear over time?I've developed these sons o' bitches since August this year..my doctor said they would fall off when I'd take a number 2...yea, that hasn't happened yet since I'm not in extreme pain...I've heard about the rubberband procedure too, and that seems more doable for me..hows that work out? any long term pain or while the rubber is on?oh and please spammers, do not bombard me with the H-CURE links..that's the next greatest con on the internet..Thanks

St. Marys

There are lots of treatments for hemorrhoids. And, they usually do not cause cancer if you do not get them treated. They are more of an annoyance than anything. Nothing is going to make them disappear other than surgery - once they form, they are there to stay. But, they go through periods where they get irritated and inflamed and cause rectal bleeding, you treat them with diet, water and Anusol and they shrink back down. This is an ongoing cycle during the rest of your life. A very large, bleeding hemorrhoid should be removed. I have not heard to anyone using the rubber band method nowadays. Surgery is the method of choice. You can also go to WebMd.com and type in hemorrhoids and read up on this condition, it's causes and recommended treatments.

Hemorrhoids problem?

San Leanna

I am 16 years old male. I am a virgin and I don't screw around (so this problem isn't any sexually transmitted disease). I think I have hemorrhoids. There is like two dark red and white lumps around my anus (sorry if I'm grossing anyone out) and they feel hard. They are pretty painful, I can't walk and sit properly. I was wondering what is the fastest way to get rid of them. The reason for my rush is not just because they are quite painfull and annoying but also I have a tennis tournament in about 3 days and I don't want let my teammates down because of this. So is there any home treatment or things to avoid that can help make my problem better?

Corvallis

You can put preperation H on it. Also a steriod cream might bring the swelling down. I would go to the hospital and get some Procotfoam, which does have a steriod in it. Also use Tucts medicated pads to wipe with and be very gentle when you do it.Also soaking in a nice hot bath will be beneficial. Take Tylenol or Advil for the pain.

Roanoke

Use hemmorhoidal suppositories (they have them in grocery stores and drugstores). Use those 3-4 times a day, drink lots of water, eat lots of fiber, no junk food or any of that crap. If it doesn't go away in a week, go see a doctor--you may have to get surgery or there IS this new effective laser surgery that is painless and very effective (for more serious cases, which yours kinda sounds like).Good luck kid.

Wauwatosa

Preparation H...ointment or suppositories....are very effective to treat your symptoms.
