WHICH HEMORRHOID TREATMENT WORKS THAT YOU KNOW? I developed hemorrhoids during and after pregnancy and have tried various creams over the past 14 months.I also had a fissure a while ago which the doctor examined and said wasnt too bad and would clear on its own.I have been getting quite a lot of bleeding and sometimes pain but not all the time.I recently went back to the doctor and was examined.She could not find anything wrong and so came to the conclusion it must be internal hemorrhoids.I used suppositories for a week and the bleeding stopped.Its now a week later and the bleeding has started again.The only pain I get is when I have a bowel movement and it feels "scratchy".I have left a message for the doctor who said she will refer me for investigation.Anyone else been in this situation? What investigations will need to be done? What treatments can be used if I have already tried creams and suppositories? Sorry for the gross question!

I am having some bleeding from my bottom when I go to the toilet.I gave birth to my daughter 14 months ago and did get hemorrhoids but used cream and the symptoms seemed to ease.I do not suffer from constipation but still get bleeding most times when I go.The blood is dark red and sometimes has small clots.I seem to have a skin tag or something which I dont think is a hemorrhoid as it has been there for a long time before I had my daughter and never caused me any problems.I went to my doctor when the bleeding first started quite bad and she said I had a fissure.This was a few months ago and so would have thought it would have cleared up by now.Has anyone else had this? Did it clear up? Did you need any treatment? Sorry for the gross question lol.

He has Parkinson disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, and a heart condition.He takes several medications a day including pain pills for his back.I know the pain pills can cause constipation, but not to the extremity of it now.He uses enemas, and laxatives, including sorbitol (for severe constipation) and it seems nothing is helping.He occasionally uses hemorrhoid cream as well.He eats lots of T.V dinners, soups, sausage, and processed meats.His diet is horrible, but he is having trouble cooking for himself.He also sits at home in his chair and watches T.V most of the day and has trouble getting any exercise because of his deteriorating muscles.He is week and nauseous most of the time.I am getting ready to move in with him to care for him and am wondering if there is a certain diet that may help, or if it will require treatment from a physician.We have been to several doctors and all they do is change his medicine around.PLEASE I AM DESPERATE!! He needs help.

Surgery is an option since I live in Canada, and health care is free, but it's really a last alternative..and from what I've heard, it's not very pleasant after you go home for about 2 weeks or more...because if you damage that area by constipation..well you're fucked...I've heard about going the fiber diet path, is that going to make them dissapear over time? So, I have had hemorrhoids for a few months now, off and on, mostly external.It started about 3 months ago, and they went away on their own.Then a few weeks after, they came back and did not subside.I purchased some prep-h cream, which helped considerably and they went away for awhile.When they came back, I used the prep-h cream, but it did little to help this time.I really only used it in the mornings and at night, other than the "up to 4 times daily" on the box, since during the day isn't really practical for me.I purchased the ointment, I figured that it would work better because of the consistency, but they came back after its use like the cream.I tried to use the attachment and place the ointment further inside, but no luck.They are back now with some bleeding off and on.What should I do? I know that a doctors visit would be logical, but I don't want any type of surgery done.Does anyone reccommend a treatment that worked for them? Any help would be greatly appreciated! : )
