In general, Aloe is Aloe.... either form is going to do the same thing. In most cases, Aloe Vera juice is about the same consistency and strength as watered-down gel. However, as far as treating Hemorrhoids, I've never heard of Aloe being used for that... I'm honest not sure if you would use it externally or internally. In and of itself, Aloe is a very good tissue soother, which makes me think it would be used externally... so the form would really just depend on how you planned to apply it. The gel may be easier to use if you're going to apply it and let it sit, either would be the same if used in a bath (although the juice wouldn't have to be mixed into the water), and either would work if you're soaking a cloth to put on the affected area.I'd say give both a try and see which way feels better for you. Good luck!

Neither. Companies that make Aloe Gel and Juice filter out the yellowish gel (that lines the inside of the leaf) using a carbon filter technique. This filtering also eliminates the long and medium chain mannose sugars that have been proven to be the active therapeutic agent in Aloe. The result is that you end up with something that is almost entirely water, with the beneficial ingredient removed. There is only one company I know that licenses a technique for preserving the Mannose from a drug company that holds over 60 patents on Aloe research. It's not in the store so anything you might be buying is useless. If you have access to an aloe plant, you can peel open the leaf and apply the clear gel directly. You will find it very beneficial and any inflamed tissue.
